The Story Behind Threaded Atelier
Hello, I'm Marianne - the founder, maker and designer behind Threaded Atelier.
What began as a hobby has grown into a lifelong passion and now a business dedicated to creating beautifully made clothing that values quality over quantity.
My love of sewing first started at school, where I discovered the satisfaction of turning fabric into something completely unique. Years later, that interest evolved into a true passion. Entirely self-taught, I've spent countless hours developing my skills, refining techniques, learning traditional garment construction and continually challenging myself with every new project.
For me, sewing has always been more than making clothes. It's a creative process that allows me to slow down, work with my hands and create something meaningful. Every garment I make carries that same care and attention.
At Threaded Atelier, I specialise in handmade clothing created in small quantities, alongside a bespoke service for those wanting something designed around them. Rather than following fast-moving trends, I focus on timeless style led silhouettes, beautiful fabrics and thoughtful details that will remain in your wardrobe for years to come.
Where possible, I carefully source natural fibres, deadstock and responsibly produced fabrics, believing that beautiful clothing shouldn't come at the expense of the planet. Every garment is individually cut, sewn and finished by me, meaning no two pieces are ever quite the same.
Whether you choose one of my ready-to-wear designs or commission something made especially for you, my aim is always the same: to create clothing that feels personal, fits beautifully and becomes part of your story.
Thank you for supporting independent craftsmanship and choosing slow fashion.
