Every garment begins with the fabric. It's the foundation of how a piece looks, feels and lasts, which is why choosing materials carefully is such an important part of my design process.
Thoughtful Choices from the Very Beginning
At Threaded Atelier, I look for fabrics that combine quality, durability and beautiful texture. Wherever possible, I choose natural fibres and responsibly sourced, sustainable fabrics that are designed to be worn, loved and enjoyed for years to come. Slow fashion starts long before the first stitch, it's about making thoughtful choices from the very beginning.
I'm also passionate about using deadstock fabrics whenever I can. Deadstock refers to high-quality fabrics left over from manufacturers or fashion houses that would otherwise go unused. By giving these materials a new purpose, I can create limited-edition handmade clothing while helping to reduce unnecessary waste. It also means many of my pieces are truly one of a kind, making them even more special to wear.
